Hearth I (Resonance)

Hearth I  is an anti-internet: a network of ceramic bowls communicating shared presence and resonance. In this installation, distance sensors trigger the sounds of a crackling fire. When two participants are present simultaneously, the bowls begin to sing. Featuring bowls by Michele Drozd, Mikey Intrabartola, Kiki Liu, and Harry Caldwell.
